Carles Javierre · Master wood artisan in La Garriga
I've been a carpenter since I was fourteen and today I'm 63. Making small jewellery pieces from a material as noble as wood was an idea that had been on my mind for a long time. Half joking, half serious, it took root until it became the craft that has given me the most satisfaction.
Friends of ours and of my partner Anna used to commission very personal pieces they had thought up themselves. Little by little I began adding products that drew me in for their spiritual and healing meaning.
The pieces I'm most proud of are the pens and fountain pens. Each one is unique and personal. I feel happy with my work as an artisan. Life, when it must, stops you and shows you other paths.
I personalise each piece with pyrography engravings: dedications, names or phrases. I make pyrographed portraits in pendant size and commissioned portraits in marquetry. Everything is made by hand, one piece at a time. I always work with noble woods and recycled materials to offer you quality items made the artisan way. Unique pieces for unique people.
